LIVE AT UNION CHAPEL
‘The recording pits Snarky virtuosity against the brand of spellbinding, emotive jazz that has swept through the U.K. of late.’
— Downbeat magazine
Bill Laurance’s first live album as a bandleader sees he, his Snarky Puppy bandmates Michael League and Robert "Sput” Searight, percussionist Felix Higginbottom, the West Side Trio strings and French horn player Katy Christie combining to deliver astonishing renditions of material from his first two studio records.
Recorded in May, 2015, in front of a capacity crowd at London’s beautiful Union Chapel, the powerful performance reflects Laurance’s strength as a soloist and rapport with his bandmates.
